1 More Critical Week...

My current struggles are NOTHING compared to the sufferings the survivors have in China and Myanmar.

There's one final week for me to have a very intensive revisions for my exams. I mean Intensive, because there's really alot for me to absorb what I have learnt throughout these 5 months since the start of the year.

Yesterday I was tired... after every NDP trainings I felt like a drunkard... a drunkard of tiredness. Well, why I say so? Perhaps I am too afraid to say the wrong words to my fellow friends cos of my tiredness, too afraid to misbehave like looking so "rude" due to my tiredness... Come on, this NDP I really wanna have the HIGH-life condition to encourage my C5 groupmates and friends around me, to make them smiles despite all these tiredness...I wanna make this NDP the BEST ever since my first participation in 2004.

All those "persecutions" faced in NS must not be a major problem that I face now. Looking back, I must think positively that there are other commitments other than NS (Gakkai activities, studies) which enable me to grow and breakthrough. And those "persecutions" are valuable lessons in life that I have learnt.

There's soo much to breakthrough this summer, especially when the Chapter Friendship Meeting preparations is getting more intensive as well as the NDP. I just don't wanna feel tired. I just don't wanna to laze around. I just don't wanna think soo much. I just wanna do the things that I should do...... and WIN.

Gone...

Another Old Song Which sparked some Old memories of mine...

There's a thousand words that I could say
To make you come home
Yeah, seems so long ago you walked away
and Left me alone
I remember what you said to me
You were acting so strange
and maybe I was too blind to see
That you needed a change

Was it something I said
To make you turn away?
To make you walk out and leave me cold
If I could just find a way
To make it so that you were right here
But right now...

I've been sitting here
Can't get you off my mind
I've tried my best to be a man and be strong
I've drove myself insane
Wishing I could touch your face
But the truth remains..
You're gone..
You're gone..
Baby you're gone
Girl you're gone, baby girl,
you're gone..
gone..
You're...

I don't wanna make excuses, baby
Won't change the fact that you're gone
But if there's something that I could do
Won't you please let me know?
Time is passing so slowly now
Guess that's my life without you
and maybe I could change my every day
But baby I don't want to

So I'll just hang around
and find some things to do
To take my mind off missing you
and I know in my heart
You can't say that you don't love me too
Please say you do

Yeeaah....I've been sitting here
Can't get you off my mind
I've tried my best to be a man and be strong
I Drove myself insane
Wishing I could touch your face
But the truth remains
You're gone..
You're gone..
You're gone
You're gone...
you're gone.. you're....gone

Ohhh...

Oh what'll I do
If I can't be with you
Tell me where will I turn to
Baby where will I be
Now that we are apart
Am I still in your heart?
Baby why don't you see?
That I need you here with me

Oohhh...I've been sitting here
Can't get you off my mind
I've tried my best to be a man and be strong
I've drove myself insane
Wishing I could touch your face
But the truth remains
Been sitting here
Can't get you off my mind
I've tried my best to be a man and be strong
I drove myself insane
Wishing I could touch your face
But the truth remains

You're gone..
You're gone..
You're gone
You're gone
Gone
You're gone..

But the truth remains
You're....

It's Hurt To See...

Newspaper and Television Reports showing parents crying over their motionless children... children cramped around, lying motionless in the rumbles of their ruined school buildings... children had their legs, arms amputated in order to survive... Why should they deserve all this when some wanted terrorists still scot-free, playing "hide-and-seek" with the cops and soldiers ???

Somehow I felt helpless and hurtful when I saw all these tragedies these days. I am no part of the DART which had despatched to the assistance of the rescue in Sichuan. What I can only do for the Quake victims is to send prayers for them to have the strong courage and will to carry on in rebuilding their lives and homeland other than donating money.

ITAC Institution meeting planning and NDP training later on... Once again I had forged another partnership with Kaiyang this time in souvenir-making along with Vina. Meanwhile, NDP training seems to be a little tougher in terms of the new dance steps which I had learnt last Thursday. Perhaps I was tired that day? Anyway, I shall enjoy all these jugglings of activities alongside with my ongoing revision for exams and beat off my tiredness.

Time is really precious. Indeed precious.

The world is seriously ill...

From the news reports of all the natural catastrophe which had happened around Asia, it is saddening to see young people losing their parents and parents losing their only children when their children were at school seeking education... when all these things happened.

It is also disappointing to see the ugly side of people... especially the ones who are leaders, who are selfish enough to reject help from the foreigners when their surviving people are in DEEP SUFFERINGS.

But I give the utmost respect to the PM of China. He is there in the disastrous scenes, showing encouragement and support to the rescuers who are there to save more lives, and most importantly, to the survivors who are stucked in the rumbles, giving them the hope to carry on and make it through, and consoling those who have lost their loved ones. He's a "people's Prime Minister".

I am getting tired these days... I am making time to do my revision for my exams during my NS office hours yet it seems I do not absorb much from it. Getting things done for the officers and for those NSmen are not the problem. The problem is the the lack of concentration that I have... Come on, I can't be soo half-hearted when exams are just less than 3 weeks away. And these 2 days I have not made use of those lunch hours to go for the gym, there's some sleepiness in me. But do I sleep much during that hour? I don't think so.

Tonight's NDP training is fun afterall... but I feel restless and in a self-conscious state. Argh... am I emo ?

I should be ok...

As The Season Draws To A Close... Part II

It's the 50th post and I shall continue the 2nd half of the season.

January 2008

A fresh start to the new year... where here I am with a greater conviction, did an hour long midnight gongyo to kick start the new year with resolutions to be achieved within this 366 days. M & D Festival was a tremendous success while I managed to build the bonds closer around with fellow Hougang/Sengkang Zone mates. At the meantime, I decided to take up the role of CIC at ITACSD as well as making a new start at Sengkang South Chapter in the new year. The youths of SKS Chapter had a good time BBQing after the success of M & D Festival. I started the new term of part time studies with Financial Accounting and Corporate Law. At the same time, I started to go gym for my fitness and body building regularly.

Liverpool's hopes of the league title continued to fade with inconsistent results. Eventually, it seemed it had to face the challenge from Everton for the 4th spot instead. Indeed it had became a three horse race between Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea in the month. The January Transfer window highlighted the move of Nicolas Anelka from Bolton Wanderers to Chelsea. While, Liverpool brought in a centreback in Martin Skrtel. It looked as if he was a bad signing when he underperformed in the first few games, most notably scoring an own goal against a non-league side in the FA Cup. He will adapt to English football and became a solid defender alongside Jamie Carragher in the months to come.

February 2008

Chinese New Year, the Exams Result Release Month, My promotion month and my birthday month... and yet another "Single" month, especially there is a special day falls on 14th February(Something which reminds me of all the past years heartbreaks and that relationship karma).

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the company of my Secondary School buddies and my ITAC mates on two different days to celebrate my 22th.

Once again, thanks everyone for being there.

Have my first discussion meeting in a new district and in a new meeting place and it's a great success. A good start to this fledgling district. At the meantime, everyone started to prepare for the September's friendship general meeting.

Liverpool got k.O. by Barnsley in the FA Cup. Rafa Benitez's position was threatened and it was revealed that the bosses had approached Jurgen Klinsmann to replace Rafa without his acknowledgement. They failed to replace him. Nobody gave Reds a chance when they faced Inter Milan in the Champions League 2nd Round. They won 2-0 at home and 1-0 away and they would be on a top winning form in the league, giving some hopes in an already dim title challenge. Torres continued to score, and score, and score...

February also saw one of a very horrible tackles in football, when Arsenal's Ecuardo had his ankle broken by Birmingham's Martin Taylor. He would miss the rest of the season and Euro 2008...a serious blow to Arsenal and Croatia. The Gunners failed to come back from this set back when they threw their points away by drawing against weaker sides and thus lost the top position in the standings to the other rivals. They were also walloped by Man U in the FA Cup.

The first trophy of the season was settled when Tottenham won the League Cup by beating Chelsea in the final......despite their very very inconsistent league form. Kudos to Ramos for bringing them their first trophy in 9 years.

March 2008

The highlight of the month saw my two full days involvements for the events of 3.16 for both my zone and SD. More involvements in ITACSD and my district continues... same goes to my weekly gym session, my part-time school lessons and of course, NS.

Man U continued their sizzling winning form with C Ronaldo scoring goals after goals... but Chelsea's not bad either, despite their off-the-field pressures. The FA Cup continues to be a prestigious giant-killing tournament with Chelsea became the latest victim of Barnsley. Both the Blues and Man U would have to kiss their "treble" hopes good bye.

April 2008

Present a skit for that month's institution meeting based on the HR chapter of "Blazing Sun". And of course, the start of NDP trainings. Trainings' been fun while the bonds within my groupmates and ITAC mates just getting closer each time, despite missing out important matches like Arsenal vs Liverpool and Chelsea vs Man U. Life's been soo fulfilling each day despite there were some little struggles in NS. The end of the month rounded with my primary school gathering.

Finally, both Chelsea and Man U had their points tied going into the final month of May of the season. Both will be also fighting for European honours on 21st May after seeing off Liverpool and Barcelona in the Semi Finals of the Champions League. At the bottom of the table, Fulham managed to put up a brave fight for survival by winning some games...

May 2008

It is still in the middle of the month... the league had not officially ended... but I am here around, preparing for the June's Exams. Of course, I continue to contribute and put more efforts on Gakkai activities and continue my fight to achieve my personal "quadruple" which to be done when August comes...

While I am looking forward to all the events after my exams... as well as Euro 2008.

As The Season Draws To A Close...

Yet another English Premier League season will end tomorrow night. While Starhub will make history in Singapore Television by showing 8 out of 10 final matches LIVE at 9.55pm, the title race is still on between Chelsea and Manchester United as well as the "Survival Series" among Birmingham, Fulham and Reading, not to forget the fight for the 5th place/final UEFA Cup spot. It is one of the most exciting season with such a thrilling end for honours. Meanwhile, it is disappointing to see Liverpool settled for a 4th place and just fighting to qualify for Champions League once again despite the emerging of Fernando Torres and losing just 4 league matches this season. No Thanks to the boardroom catfight between those Americans and a number of draws against the weaker teams.

Here's a lookback on this season as well as my life for these past months since August 2007.

August 2007

Manchester United won the charity shield in the curtain raiser of the season. Liverpool started brightly and looked like they can really challenge for the title. While Torres scored his first goal for the club against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw. Meanwhile, Man U had one of their worst start for the season... but all these had changed!!! For me, it was the month where I was promoted to LCP but things started to go wrong in my one-sided relationship. Yeah... I shall call it One-Sided... since she did not even give me a simple chance afterall. Also, I regretted dropping out from NDP 2007. Don't ask me why I drop out... What was past was past... same goes to that one-sided relationship... The worst was going to come in the following month...

September 2007

While Liverpool thumped 6 goals against Derby County, on the very same night I thought things got a turnaround when I "thought" I was invited to her birthday party "last minute" via a SMS... I WAS WRONG and I WAS FOOLED !!! Seriously, it was a moment where "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing!". While I made my way to drop by her chalet to send her my regards and wishes after attending another friend's birthday nearby, little did I know that that very first sms from "her" was a SCAM. A Scam which got me humiliated... A Scam which got me have a thick skin like an elephant... Meanwhile the prankster who did all these dirty jobs just scot free by just saying a few words of "Sorry", a sense of injustice? It was a day where I will always remember... when things just happen to be a false dawn.

And it took some days to get me overcome this birthday incident... and months to overcome the thoughts on her. She was not meant for me afterall... After some time, I realised and awakened that this incident did spur me to do my human revolution and my determination to show real actual proofs in my life. It was also the month where SSA announced the formation of Sengkang Zone, and my district was transferred to one of its chapter... a start of the new beginning for everyone ? Most significantly, my life.

Care to share about this piece of story...it was exactly one week after that Birthday Incident, I attended the OG of ITACSD at Sentosa and truly enjoyed that day despite my struggles and heartbreaks at that point of time, through this event I got to know more friends and the start of forging new bonds and friendships...and a return to the Student Division.

Meanwhile, English football saw the departure of a very colourful character in Jose Mourinho. He was fired by Chelsea despite bringing them 2 league titles in a row, 2 league Cups and 1 FA Cup. Goodbye Jose, we love your words, we love your body language. You make football very colourful, very funny, very interesting.

October 2007

While I struggled to overcome yet another heartbreak in love, and struggled to move on... the month also saw the passing of my grand aunty. On the brighter side, I made a trip to Bintam with the Vanguard group and had an wonderful exchange with the YMDs over there, as well as the climbing trip.

In football, Arsenal showed they were not going to be underestimated despite the sale of Thierry Henry at the beginning of the season by constantly topped the league as well as shoning in the Champions League, most notably the 7-0 drubbing of Slavia Prague. Liverpool, started to fizzle out with some undeserving draws against the likes of Birmingham and Portsmouth despite being on an unbeaten run, while they flopped in the Champions League. Man U finally showed their colours in the league, same went to Chelsea.

Another disappointing team in Tottenham Hotspurs, sacked their Manager, Martin Jol, who led them 5th places in the previous 2 seasons. An undeserving sack, but they replaced him with a UEFA Cups winning manager in Juande Ramos from Sevilla.

November 2007

Went on a Cruise trip with a few NS mates and made some shopping in KL. It was also the month of Study breaks, where I prepared for my ACCA debut in the December Exam. Sengkang Zone was officially formed later in the month. However it was also the same month where one of our favourite lecturers in NP, Mr Michael Sng, passed away all of the sudden.

Liverpool started to overcome the odds in the Champions League by winning 8-0 against Besiktas and 4-1 against Porto. They eventually made it through to the knockout stage. England, however, once again led me and other England supporters to disappointments as they failed to qualify for Euro 2008. Steve mcClaren proved to be a poor manager for that underachieving footballing nation after losing 3-2 to Croatia at home in such an important game.

Here comes Fabio Capello. A veteran with Champions League, Italian League and Spanish League honours.

December 2007

Took my papers at Expo on two different days. Management Accounting looked tough (Perhaps I was late at that time) but Accountant in Business looked chicken feet? Right after my exams, I was given a role in my (ex) Zone-organised Mentor & Disciple (M&D) festival drama concert and started rehearsals for the January's actual day. But I had to miss SD kenshu a miss, while I failed to perform for Chingay's performance. (I don't know about the audition?)

At the end of the year, I had graduated from the Vanguards and ready to contribute more in ITACSD, as well as my new chapter and district in the years to come.

It was also a month of KTV sessions with my pri sch friends and sec sch friends... even on Christmas Eve...

AC Milan is WORLD Champions and Kaka is WORLD player of the year. But they failed to impress in their domestic league. Liverpool meanwhile, lost their unbeaten streak to Reading, a club plagued with Relegation-threat even till now. They also lost to Man U at home in the same month, an undeserving loss where they failed to convert their chances in front of the Kop. In League Cup, they were knocked out by Chelsea but who cares about this CUP? Most importantly, hopes of the league title and such a 18 year wait seemed to be fading away just like before.

But at least, Fernando continues to score, just like what Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler used to do in the 1990s and early 2000s. At least Reds finally had a good buy in a goalpoacher after Owen left.

我们小时候

"回忆起我们小时候, 闭上眼睛就能够感受, 在我们心中慢慢流动的温柔..."

It's been 10 years since I graduated from Pei Chun Public School, 6F the class of 1998. Here we are, have a small gathering at TCC, Centre Point, before moving on to have some drinks at Clinic C. And What a good turnout ! More than 15 of us were there...

Just gotten the pics from Mingfen and here they are...

There's gonna be more outings for us in future... and 10 years later, let's bring our husbands/wives along !!! Got children also bring along.

Same goes to 20 years later when our kids grow older...
